Entirely Made in Italy, the HERBST chair with armrests by DAMMI DESIGN is a piece of Bauhaus style design, inspired by the original design of the chair presented by René Herbst at the Salon d'Automne in 1929. The French designer was one of the first to adapt simple industrial materials to furnishing accessories. Since 1919 Herbst has interpreted the path of modern design, dealing with metal furniture, window dressing and interior lighting. As regards the design of metal furniture, its full maturity can be recognized around 1920 with models in nickel-plated metal tube with a rigorous and functional design such as the Herbst chair. The structure of the HERBST chair by DAMMI DESIGN is made up of a mirror-chromed and polished steel tube, with seat, backrest and armrests made of elastic bands covered with cotton similar to those used to hold spikes on bicycles, available in black, red it's blue.
