The Barcelona bench by DAMMIDESIGN is inspired by the designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. 1 cm thick chromed flat steel structure, cushion covering in hand-cut leather squares, edged and stitched one by one and assembled with continuous leather bands. Available in high quality Made in Italy fabric or leather.

Barcelona leather bench (3 places)

The structure of the Barcelona bench by DAMMIDESIGN is made of 1 cm thick flat steel, 35 micron chromed and mirror polished. The suspensions of the Barcelona bench are made up of thick leather straps in the same color as the leather of the cushion and fixed to the structure with rivets. The tension, thickness and quality of these leather straps are an essential element for the resistance of the Barcelona bench seat over time. The interior of the cushion of the Barcelona bench by DAMMIDESIGN is made of double density polyurethane foam (plus polyester fibre) with a thickness of 8 cm. The cushion covering is made up of rectangular squares of leather cut by hand, edged and sewn one by one . The quilt effect ends with the fastening of the buttons 16 mm in diameter and lined with the same leather as the cushion and positioned by hand one by one thanks to a special needle. The cushion of the Barcelona Pouf by DAMMIDESIGN is fixed to the structure with elegant retractable leather straps.

The Barcelona bench together with the armchair of the same name are inspired by the designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe which he created for the 1929 World Art Fair on display in the German Pavilion. It is the most famous example of contrast between the minimalism of the form and the opulence of the materials.
