HERBST office armchair

The HERBST armchair with armrests by DAMMI DESIGN is a design complement in Bauhaus style, it is inspired by the original design of the chair presented by René Herbst at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, the French designer was one of the first to adapt simple industrial materials to complements of furniture. Since 1919 Herbst has interpreted the path of modern design, dealing with metal furniture, window dressing and interior lighting. As regards the metal furniture project, its full maturity can be recognized around 1920 with models in nickel-plated metal tube with a rigorous and functional design. The structure of the HERBST armchair by DAMMI DESIGN is made up of mirror-chromed and polished steel tubing, with seat, backrest and armrests made up of elastic bands covered in cotton similar to those used to hold spikes on bicycles, while the base is five prongs equipped with rubber wheels and is also adjustable in height.
